Do you believe in Juju? Personally, I still don't believe in it, but I would like to narrate a story to you which happened about 18 years ago. I believe you give anything power over you when you believe in it, so I like to tell people I do not believe in black magic. The truth is that I do recognize that there is some form spiritual powers out there, but I also believe that we all have powers too. If you let your guard down, and start believing some spiritual forces can harm you, you have just relinquished YOUR powers to it, and made yourself an easy target. I take full responsibility for any bad events that come to my life because I believe we are a result of our past thoughts and actions. This helps me eliminate any beliefs that their are evil forces working towards stopping me from achieving my goals in life. Okay, I think I am going round and round in a circle, let me just go straight to the story.
I was about 15 years old, and we had a burial to attend in Ayepe (a village in Ijebu Ode/Ogun Sate). Me, my siblings and my cousins all cramped ourselves up in my Dad's red Mercedes Benz 200, and headed out around mid-day. The journey took just about an hour. This was around 1995, before Lagos Ibadan became prime real estate for most church camp sites.
All the formal parts of the burial ceremony had already been performed before we got there, and it was time for merriment. As you know, Ijebu people like to party, so it was a feast. You also know Ijebu people are known for something else, which happens to be the topic I am writing about.
I've always liked to keep to myself, and while I was sitting in a corner, looking around for anything interesting to feed my eyes, I heard some men in white arguing with a lady. I looked around and it was like I was the only one seeing this because no one else was looking that way. I knew the lady as one of our relatives, so i moved closer. I heard them arguing about schnapps and some money or so. The lady was bickering with the men, repeating the words- 'Ko sin nko ti ele se' (there is nothing you can do) several times. I watched my steps as I got closer; it had rained earlier, and the dirt road was all muddy. The lady walked off, and the men walked into a bungalow close by. As a very inquisitive kid, I followed them in. I was wearing white on white, just like they were, so it was easy for me to blend in.
Two of the men went into an inner room, and the other two dragged a sort of wide metallic bucket from under a table (I can't really remember how the container looked) in the center of the room. The other two men hurried back out with something in their hands. I wanted to run out, as I was fearful of what they would do to me if they saw me, but my curiosity to find out what was happening didn't let me leave. I blended with the white painted wall, and watched as they shouted out some incantations. After about 3 minutes, they pulled a material they had placed on the bucket, and immediately thy did that, rain started falling outside. People were running for cover all over, and I used that to quickly make my way out the room.
I later discovered that they were the rain-holders (I don't know if that's the right term to use to qualify them), and weren't paid well, so they withdrew their services. I had seen most of what they had done with my own eyes, and it became scary to me. I watched people run helter-skelter as the rain came down heavy. It was frightening that I knew the perpetrators of the act. What was more frightening was how I was going to tell anyone about what had just happened. Thank God I didn't have to. I stood at a distance and watched the bungalow, till I saw an elderly man approaching the place. He walked briskly like he knew what had just happened. After a couple of minutes, he came out with the four men. They started scanning the area, and I took off before their eyes came to where I was.
"Olumide!" I heard someone call my name, and it made me jump. I blinked the rain water out my eyes, and saw it was my cousin. She asked me where I had been, and I lied that I needed to get something in car, and couldn't get it open. She volunteered to help, and we headed towards the car; walking at the edge of the house, dodging the rain as much as we could. As we passed the front of the bungalow, I looked up, and saw the men pointing at something or someone. I followed their gaze, and saw it was my Mom they were pointing at. My brain went to walk immediately. My Mom had the same physique as the woman they had been arguing with earlier, and the fact that everyone from our side of the family had the same dress-type on, it convinced them that my mom was the person they were looking for.
I dashed off into the rain, living my cousin wondering if I had gone mad. I quickly narrated the story to my Mom, and without asking one question further, she quickly followed me back to where the men were standing. She approached them with a cheerful smile, and asked if they wanted anything. They looked at each-other; confused, and wondering if this was the same person they had a problem with earlier. My Mom quickly called one of my uncle's to get her Schnapps for the old men, and also some food. They smiled and greeted my Mom warmly. She stayed there till everything needed was given to the men, and they thanked her before going in. A few minutes after they went back into the bungalow, the rain stopped.
My Mom begged the lady that the men had been arguing with to go and apologize to the men, but she got even angrier, and started shouting at at every one in the village; calling them names. Lashing out at everyone; young and old. A couple of weeks after that day, the lady died in a car accident along Lagos-Ibadan express. She was the only one that died in the crash. I am not saying there is black magic out there, I just wanted to narrate this story and get some feedback from people. What do you believe really happened? By the way, this story is 100% truth, and not fiction.

Meet Queen Okafor- One of The Hairiest Women in Nigeria
This news is everywhere, but since the lady said she wants her story to to go far and wide, I decided to put it up here too. And ofcos, this is definitely out of the ordinary. Queen Okafor is one of the hairiest women you will ever meet in Nigeria, and she wears her look proudly. Read her story below-
“My name is Queen Nonyerem Okafor. I am from
Anambra State. We are five children from our parents, three girls and
two boys. I inherited the hairs from my mum and it runs in the family.
Once you get to 21 to 23 years in our family, you start experiencing
hair growth. I am 26 years old now, when I was in secondary school,
much hairs were not on my body. It started when I finished my secondary
school. I am not granting you this interview as if I need help or money,
no! I want to tell my story and what it means to be a hairy woman. All I
need is for an NGO to take up my case as a woman with abnormal
conditions and also to act in the movie industry.

Pastor W.F Kumuyi Says Christmas is a Pagan Celebration
W.F Kumuyi, General Overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church, recently spoke against
the celebration of Christmas by Christians. He said Christmas celebration came
from an idolatrous background and is not celebrated in his church. I actually do know that Christmas originated
from past Pagan religions, but I think maybe he shouldn't have said this...ignorance
is bliss. People ignorant with most of the relations of some old Pagan religion doctrines and Christianity have been in bliss, but this might make them start questioning some other things. He might just have opened a can of worms with his statement. Read his words below, before i speak further
on this-

Those were his words from the podium during the church’s
Annual National Convention, on December 21.Thinking of the fact that this man
went to the same school as my mom (Mayflower Secondary School, Ikene)in the 50s,
which Pastor Okonkwo of TREM also
attended, it makes me wonder if he maybe he has a hidden agenda. These men went
to Tai Solarin’s school, who was an atheist and thought his students to be self
reliant, free of dependence on a God or religion of any sort. It’s funny that 2
pastors of big churches in Nigeria came out of that School.
Anyway, before I digress from the topic at hand, I should say that I still
feel he shouldn't have said what he said about Christmas. The thing is that it is not only the celebration of Christmas that early Christians borrowed from
the Pagans. The fact is that in those days, you were either a Jew or a Pagan.
Most Pagans didn't want to convert to Christianity, so the Roman power at the
time adopted and adapted Pagan traditions and holidays into the Christian
religion, to make the Pagans more comfortable crossing over.
Easter celebration too is from an idolatrous background. Ishtar,
which Easter was coined from, was a Babylonian and Assyrian idol goddess.
Ishtar was in fact primarily identified as Venus, the most beautiful of
Celestial objects, and from the terrestrials side, the primary motive of the
worship of Ishtar was the impulse to deify sensuality.
December 25, which is marked as Jesus birthday is also of
Pagan origin. Horus, the mythical
Egyptian god that was worshiped in Egypt and its environs around 3000 BC, was
said to have been born around the time of the Winter Solstice- December 25.
This is the day when sun gods of many pre-christian cultures were said to have
been born, as it is the shortest day of the year , and thus signifies LIGHT
OVERCOMING DARKNESS.
As i said earlier, these are very delicate issues that can
affect the belief of any Christian, so maybe they should have been left
alone...he shouldn't have given the reason why they don’t celebrate Christmas
in his church. Cos, if he can agree to the fact that Jesus wasn't born on
December 25th, then there are a lot other theories that have been laid forward in the past challenging authenticity of some christian doctrines that can be dug up again.

Crazy Pedophilia Stories
A lot of crazy things happen in this world. Well, maybe I shouldn't use the word Crazy...It might just be out of the ordinary to people of this time and the location we find ourselves. I do not like to judge anyone cos I myself am not perfect. I just feel this stories will interest some people, so here we go...By the way, a Pedophile is an adult who is sexually attracted to a child or children.
*The king of R&B, the R in R&B, R Kelly started a relationship with an upcoming female singer (Aaliyah) in 1993, when she was 14, and he was 26. They got married when she was 15 and he was 27. The marriage was annulled shortly afterwards. It was later discovered that R.Kelly opted to marry Aaliyah as she had gotten pregnant, and he felt it was the right thing to do. It was later ascertained that an STD that she had gotten from Kelly led to her missing her period, and she really wasn't pregnant. So, they ended the marriage.
*The third president of America, Thomas Jefferson had a child (maybe children) with his slave-maid, Sally Hemings; he was 46 and she was just 15 years old.
*The king of Rock N Roll, Elvis Presley started dating Priscilla when she was just 14, and he was 25. She moved into his Graceland mansion 2 years later, and they got married when she was 21. The strange thing about the Elvis story is that it was said that he had a lot of 13 and 14 year old female friends visiting him at his home all the time. And he would invite them to his room for pillow fights and talks. The older females he dated said he rarely requested sex, and was more interested in just talking. There is a theory that he was gay and spent time with younger females who he felt wont ask him for sex. It's just a theory.
*Actor, screen writer, director, Woody Allen is another person that is said to be really a lover of very young girls. His adopted daughter with Mia Farrow, Dylan Farrow recently accused him of sexually molesting her as a kid...starting as early as when she was 7. Mia Farrow and Woody Allen had adopted Dylan shortly after they started dating in 1980. Their relationship lasted 12 years, and it ended when Mia found some naked pictures of her other adopted daughter (Soon-Yi) in Allen's possession in 1992. Soon-Yi was 20 at the time, and Allen, was 57. It is rumored that Woody Allen had started a sexual relationship with Soon-Yi when she was in her teens. Allen later married Soon-Yi in 1997. Last year, Allen's own biological son (Ronan Farrow) whom he had with Mia Farrow, who is technically Soon-Yi's brother tweeted..."Happy father's day- or as they call it in my family, happy brother-in-law's day." Get it?

American Judge Sentenced to 28 Years For Selling Kids to the Prison System
An American Judge from the state of Pennsylvania has been sentenced to 28 years in prison for selling kids to the prison system. The judge was collecting bribes from individuals who owned private prisons, and wrongfully sentencing kids (Juvenile) to prison for a cool payment from his business partners. Hmm! Corruption at its heights. This was exactly what Kanye West was rapping about on New Slaves (off his Yeezus album)...
Meanwhile the DEA, teamed up with the CCA
They try and lock niggaz up, they try and make new state
See that's that privately-owned prisons, get yo' piece today
They prob'ly all in the Hamptons, braggin 'bout they made
Read the full story on the Pennsylvanian judge below...
Mark Ciavarella Jr, a 61-year old former judge in Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to nearly 30 years in prison for literally selling young juveniles for cash. He was convicted of accepting money in exchange for incarcerating thousands of adults and children into a prison facility owned by a developer who was paying him under the table. The kickbacks amounted to more than $1 million. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has overturned some 4,000 convictions issued by him between 2003 and 2008, claiming he violated the constitutional rights of the juveniles – including the right to legal counsel and the right to intelligently enter a plea. Some of the juveniles he sentenced were as young as 10-years old.Ciavarella was convicted of 12 counts, including racketeering, money laundering, mail fraud and tax evasion. He was also ordered to repay $1.2 million in restitution. His “kids for cash” program has revealed that corruption is indeed within the prison system, mostly driven by the growth in private prisons seeking profits by any means necessary. Kanye West Says He Will Be a Bigger Hero Than Nelson Mandela
I still love his music, but I have been neglecting a lot of his rants. I think every artist has that crazy side, but Kanye West's crazy side is going into insane overdrive. In a recent interview WCGI radio in Chicago yesterday, he said he was going to end up a bigger hero than Nelson Mandela. He was asked who he thought, on the world stage today could possible replace Nelson Mandela in terms of leadership, and he answered with...
“I am the next Nelson Mandela. I’m only 36 years old, and when I look at everything I’ve accomplished, it’s the only comparison that makes any sense. By the time I’m 95, I’m going to be a bigger hero than he ever was. Nelson Mandela did a lot of good work, don’t get me wrong. But I think I’m on track to do something even bigger. I liberate minds with my music. That’s more important than liberating a few people from apartheid or whatever.

Not to say Mandela wasn’t for real. I have mad respect. I just think we need to keep things in perspective here. Anyone can be replaced. And I think I’m well on my way towards being the next great black leader. I’m already worshiped around the world. And there’s more to come.”
The interviewer got furious with Kanye, and asked if he had actually participated in any civil rights activities, and Kanye said...
“I’ve blazed a trail with my career. I faced mad racism when I entered this profession. I mean how many black rappers can you name that came before me? I was a pioneer. And now I’m doing the same thing in the fashion world. Not to mention I have a bigger market than he ever did. Mandela was working in South Africa, which has, like what, six people? I started my magic here in the USA and then I took my business global. Worldwide baby.
“I just want everyone out there to know. I see y’all crying on the TV. Being all sad. Just know that Kanye’s gonna carry on Mandela’s legacy. There’s nothing to worry about. I got this.”
Whoa! I have no comments. No comments, mehn!

Meagan Good- The Sexiest Preacher's Wife in History
Hollywood actress, Meagan Good has to be the sexiest preacher's wife in history. She is currently married to Seventh-day Adventist preacher, Devon Franklin, and says she is now a born again Christian. But, I find her dressing quite out of the ordinary for a preacher's wife. Well, maybe I wouldn't have so much of a problem with her if she and her husband haven't said on countless interviews that they practice celibacy, and that they encourage other people to do the same. How can you preach celibacy but sell sex with the way you dress. I guess there is a big difference between spiritual maturity, and just being religious.
She recently did a photo shoot for Complex Magazine, and you can check out some of the pics below
