R.I.P Robin Williams

Veteran actor, Robin Williams was found dead in his apartment some hours ago. An autopsy is being carried out, but at this time, the death is a being ruled as a possible suicide. You might remember him from paying the lead role in the early 90s Peter Pan movie, Hook; Or his legendary role in the Drama-Comedy, Mrs. Doubtfire, from the same era. He just celebrated his 63rd birthday a few weeks ago.

Read part of the official statement on his death below.

On August 11, 2014, at approximately 11:55 a.m, Marin County Communications received a 9-1-1 telephone call reporting a male adult had been located unconscious and not breathing inside his residence in unincorporated Tiburon, CA. The Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Tiburon Fire Department and Southern Marin Fire Protection District were dispatched to the incident with emergency personnel arriving on scene at 12:00 pm. The male subject, pronounced deceased at 12:02 pm has been identified as Robin McLaurin Williams, a 63-year-old resident of unincorporated Tiburon, CA.

Below is what his publicist had to say...

"Robin Williams passed away this morning. He has been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time."

And also his wife had this to say...

"This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin's family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin's death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions."

It's actually funny that just before I saw this news, my friend and I had spent three hours talking about death, suicide, and a fulfilled life. We all come to this world to achieve a definite purpose. Some get old achieving their life purpose, while others stay for a shorter time. Some people get frustrated with life when they find it hard to make sense out of their lives, and some find it fit to depart us when they feel they have lived a fulfilled life by attaining their definite chief aim in life. Such is the case with Mr. Robins. He will live on through his great works.
